Dr. C. V. Chen, Chairman and Managing Partner of Lee and Li
wins The 2008 Taiwan Law Society Outstanding Pro Bono Lawyer Award

Dr. Chen is known for his unrelenting endeavors at serving the community as well as his consistent efforts on promoting the handling of pro bono cases as an essential part of Lee and Li's culture. In recognition of Dr. Chen's outstanding pro bono services to the community, The Taiwan Law Society, in agreement with The National Bar Association's nomination, named Dr. Chen as the winner of The 2008 Taiwan Law Society Outstanding Pro Bono Lawyer Award.

Lee and Li ranked First in Asia and Eighth Worldwide for
Largest M&A Deals for 2009

According to Bloomberg's 2009 year-end report, our Firm ranked first in Asia and eighth worldwide for M&A deal amounts, with a total value of US$142 billion. Lee and Li's Outstanding Performance in Handling Mergers & Acquisitions

Lee and Li represented its clients in 17 M&A deals conducted in the Greater China area in year 2009, with a total value of US$6,893 million. Out of all the legal advisers for the Greater China M&A transactions, Lee and Li is listed amongst the top 15 leading firms on the "mergermarket M&A League Tables of Legal Advisers to Asia-Pacific M&A Year End 2009", dated January 7th, 2010. Lee and Li is the only named Taiwan law firm by mergermarket.

Lee and Li Named as a Leading M&A Firm by Asian Legal Business

Lee and Li has been voted as a winner in the ALB’s Leading M&A Firms survey as “Asian – Tiger Leaders” for Taiwan, which will be featured in the ALB's September 2009 issue. The ALB survey was conducted among Asia's most senior in-house lawyers and business leaders during the period from April 30, 2009 to July 15, 2009. ALB's editorial team interviewed the survey respondents directly through a mixture of telephone calling, direct emails and face-to-face interviews. Respondents were asked to provide their off the record opinions as to the leading M&A firms across the region in the region where they, or their company, conduct substantial business. Particularly in financial crises like now, this award not only proves our dedication and expertise on Mergers and Acquisitions but also represents our long term commitment on satisfying the clients.
